In order to protect our digital device display,we need a thin sheet to attachment into surface of the display,but it should not have passive influence in the display function.

 

There are many plastic  film are available to be made of the screen protector,such the PP,PE,PVC,OPP and PET, then let us make a comparation with these material:

PP material: namely Polypropylene.It does not have any adhesive ability,then need the glue,but the glue will leave stain in the screen, furthermore,it may corrupt the screen if keep it long time.

PVC material:namely Polyvinylchloride.It feel soft,and past easily,and very cheap,but it is a little thick which make the light transparence bad,namely make the display blur.It also will leave some stain on the screen if peel it off.Moreover,with the temperature change,this material exude the yellow oil,so it have short-life span. And it is not anti scratch.Most of PVC material are poisonous.

PE material: Namely polyethylene.It is soft and have good stretchability(thickness from 0.05mm to 0.15mm).there are 2 kind of PE material one is static PE,whose adhesive depend on the static electricity instead of glue,but the adhesive is weak.The other is grid PE,this kind of PE film have good air-releasing ability,will not have bubble.

OPP material: Namely O-phenylphenol.It has large rigidity and good flame retardancy, but the adhesive is very bad

PET Material: Namely polyester (PET-polyethylene terephthalate).It has good rigidity,light but hight intensity. Good light transparence, good gas barrier property,no smelly,no poison,and can be re-applied after washing.it is also a recycle material

With the above explanation,we can conclude PET is the most suitable raw material to make screen protector.

 

Accentually right now,the screen protector film roll are 3 layers PET.With adding silicon glue,it will not leave any stain in the screen but with good adhesive ability.And adding the hard coating,the anti scratch increase much.

The top and bottom thin PET layer are mainly to protect the middle usage layer.
